7 Best Clothing Wholesale Websites for Retailers & Resellers

If you’re looking to start a clothing boutique or online store, you need a steady stream of great items to build an assortment you love.

So a question to start asking yourself early doors is: where can I source wholesale clothing for my store?

There are plenty of ways to do this; from attending trade shows to browsing Instagram for brands you like and sending them a dm. But there are also a range of wholesale websites that allow you to browse and shop multiple different brands in one place. They’re a great way to discover brands you might not otherwise have heard of, and also simplifies the wholesale process; it’s easy to see the wholesale price and lead time of these items, so you cut out a lot of the messaging back and forth.

2. AliExpress

Trustpilot rating: 2.7/5

AliExpress is a Chinese wholesale marketplace selling thousands of goods across hundreds of different product categories; from lighters to tech, and everything in between. And among the thousands of products, you’ll find women and men’s clothing, and options for babies and children, too.

The wide variety and low prices make AliExpress an appealing option for some retailers, but the lack of quality control and sustainable options mean it’s not right for everybody. Parcels can also take a long time to arrive (according to reviews), and the buyer is responsible for paying and arranging to clear the products through customs as needed. These, alongside the issue of unverified sellers, all contribute to AliExpress’s relatively low Trustpilot score.

Buying with AliExpress:

Requirements: Both businesses and individuals can shop on AliExpress.
Payment terms: You need to pay for orders upfront, and a variety of payment cards are accepted.

Shipping: Many products offer free shipping within 1-2 weeks (although some reviews say shipping often takes longer than this).
Cross-border: AliExpress ships around the world, but you will be responsible for paying any customs fees.

Returns: This depends on the seller, but many offer free returns.

Selling with AliExpress:

Requirements: To set up a store on AliExpress, you’ll need your VAT number, Company Operating License, and the ID number of your company’s legal representative.

Fees: There’s no charge noted for setting up your store on AliExpress.

Commission: AliExpress commission varies from 5-8% depending on the product category.

Shipping: Unclear how shipping works for sellers on AliExpress.

3. Wholesale Shopping

Trustpilot rating: 4.8/5

Wholesale Shopping is a dedicated fashion wholesale website with a small selection of wholesale women’s fashion vendors. The products typically come in small pack sizes of around 1-5 products, and Wholesale Shopping also offer private labelling and custom branding services to add your own spin to existing products.

While we didn’t find the website experience to be particularly smooth, Wholesale Shopping is clearly well liked by its existing customers, and is very well-rated on Trustpilot.

Buying with Wholesale Shopping:

Requirements: None shown; Wholesale Shopping is aimed at both retail and individual customers.
Payment terms: 30-day payment terms through Klarna

Shipping: Shipping is free in the UK for orders over £300, and varies to other countries.
Cross-border: Wholesale Shopping ship across the UK and Europe, and also out to the USA and Canada, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand (but for much higher shipping costs).

Returns: You can return your Wholesale Shopping products at your own cost, and you need to start this process within two days of receiving the items

Selling with Wholesale Shopping:

There’s a lot of information missing from a seller’s perspective. It’s hard to tell whether Wholesale Clothing buys and holds the clothes of other brands itself, or whether it acts as a wholesale marketplace.

4. Catwalk Wholesale

Trustpilot rating: 4.3/5

Catwalk Wholesale is a little different to the other sites on this list as it’s an individual wholesale clothing vendor, rather than a collection of different vendors on one site. Catwalk Wholesale is a UK-based brand selling fashion-forward women’s clothing, and it ships globally.

Buying with Catwalk Wholesale:

Requirements: None given.
Payment terms: 30-day payment terms offered via Klarna, or you can pay upfront.

Shipping: Free UK delivery for orders over £250. Cost of international shipping depends on where you’re based.
Cross-border: Catwalk Wholesale ships globally. All its customers based outside of the UK are responsible for any duties and import taxes associated with their orders.

Returns: You can return items bought from Catwalk Wholesale — you just need to let them know within 7 days.

Selling with Catwalk Wholesale:

Catwalk Wholesale only sells their own products, so it’s not an option for clothing brands looking for a place to sell their products wholesale.

5. Vintage Wholesale Supply Ltd.

Trustpilot rating: 3.5/5

Vintage and second-hand clothing remains a popular option for shoppers, especially given it’s a more sustainable choice. But with no two products the same, vintage clothing is tricky to sell wholesale.

That’s where family business Vintage Wholesale Supply Ltd. comes in. Selling only vintage clothing, they batch different items together into bales depending on the brand and style, making it an accessible way for independent retailers to source wholesale stock. Batches are typically 25-60 products.

Buying with Vintage Wholesale Supply Ltd:

Requirements: None listed.
Payment terms: Pay for orders upfront with a variety of payment methods accepted.

Shipping: Free within the UK.
Cross-border: Ships throughout Europe and to the rest of the world. Pay no import tax on orders within the EU.

Returns: Due to the nature of the products, returns are only available if there’s an issue with the products.

Selling with Vintage Wholesale Supply Ltd:

Vintage Wholesale Supply Ltd. only sells products they have sourced themselves, and the website is not available to other brands.

6. JOOR

Capterra rating: 4.3/5 (Joor doesn’t have a Trustpilot account)

Joor is a fashion only wholesale marketplace that’s primarily targeted at online fashion retailers and department stores. They host 14,000 brands, with everything from Umbro to Marc Jacobs, and have built-in technology to simplify the lives of big brands and large retailers.

Buying with Joor:

Requirements: You have to apply to join Joor, and it’s likely that only large online retailers or department stores will be accepted. Joor says: ‘In order to have an active retailer account on JOOR, you must be an open and operating retailer with established wholesale buying relationships.’
Payment terms: Joor Pay gives retailers extended 60-day payment terms for their orders.

Shipping: It’s not totally clear from the Joor website, but we believe that each brand is in charge of their own shipping, and can charge accordingly.
Cross-border: Joor has a strong global presence, and operates across 150 countries.

Returns: There isn’t a set policy for returns, but individual sellers may have their own.

Selling with Joor:

Requirements: No requirements, but targeted at established brands.

Fees: Not shown, but believed to be a software cost of around $1,000 per month.

Commission: None shown.

Shipping: You will be responsible for shipping customer orders.

7. FashionGo

Trustpilot rating: 4/5

FashionGo is a clothing wholesale website based in the US. They carry a wide range of products across fashion, accessories, kidswear and even some homeware, with trend-led pieces sitting alongside everyday staples and sustainable options. FashionGo has around 2,000 brands selling through its site, and has both a ‘wholesale’ and a ‘dropshipping’ function.

Buying with FashionGo:

Requirements: FashionGo is currently only available in the US and Canada, and only businesses can shop from it.
Payment terms: FashionGo offers retailers up to 60-day payment terms (subject to approval).

Shipping: Through their product FG Consolidation, you can shop from different (participating) brands and get free US shipping when your consolidated order is over $500.
Cross-border: FashionGo currently only ships to the USA and Canada.

Returns: The vendor sets their own returns policy.

Selling with FashionGo:

Requirements: None mentioned, but your application will be screened and approved or denied within 3 days of submitting it.
Fees: Unclear.

How can I buy products to resell?

This depends on the website you’re buying from. Most brands (and some wholesale websites) will require you to enter details to prove you’re a registered business, whereas others don’t have any measures in place, meaning anyone can shop from them.
